Stem Cell Integrity Mask is an amalgamation of two of Mesoestetic®’s most successful products: the Crystal Fiber Mask and the Stem Cell Serum.  With 3D Nano-fibers, this mask is formulated with a high concentration of vegetable stem cell extracts. It provides an intensive restructuring effect, activates skin’s stem cell renewal, protects and stimulates dermal and epidermal cells. Additional antioxidants, moisturising and repairing active principles, the Stem Cell Integrity Mask increases skin luminosity giving it an amazing glow.
 
The Stem Cell Integrity Mask is impregnated with an ultra concentrated 10% vegetable stem cell serum, vitamins C&E, soluble collagen and aloe vera on a 3D nano fiber sheet packaged flat on a tray to ensure the highest effectiveness for transferring high quality active principles into the skin.  
 
The mask can be used as the final step of a non-ablative anti-aging treatment, to boost skin recovery after IPL or radio frequency  sessions, after a bio-revitalising facial treatment, after prolong exposure to the sun or heat or as a flash anti-aging treatment at home.

 The chronological ageing process of the skin happens in 4 stages.  In stage III, in addition to the characteristics of the earlier stages, there are also the following:

- Reduction in the quantity of cells which come to maturity to form the different skin structures (cellular renewal slows down)
- Loss of effectiveness in the metabolic processes which compensate for the skin normal deterioration
- Deterioration  in the outer layers of the epidermis and reduction of the quality of the tissues supporting the skin

As a consequence of theses changes there is a gradual disappearance of the skin’s elastic capacity together with a lack of firmness and the development of deep wrinkles.

PROPERTIES
Stem Cell professional treatment is a professional cosmetic anti-ageing method.  It consists of 5 treatment sessions in the salon + a home supplement.  The combined and sequential action of the different products stimulates the mechanisms of cellular renewal, promoting the regeneration of the different layers of the skin and combating deep wrinkles.

HOW TO USE
Start by cleansing the skin with hydra milk cleanser and then tone with hydratonic. When the skin is clean, apply optionally an ampoule of 10% of glycolic acid to increase cutaneous permeability and improve the effectiveness of the treatment.

Next prepare the massage lotion.  To do this mix three doses of the facial massage cream with a single dose of stem Cell serum restructurative and homogenize the mixture with a spatula.  Spread the mixture evenly over the face, neck and neckline, giving the special facial massage for 20 minutes.

Having finished the massage, apply stem cell crystal fiber mask to the face and leave it for 20 minutes to produce its firming and tensing action.

At the end of the 20 minutes, give a gentle relaxing massage on neck, face and neckline with one dose of the facial massage cream.

When the product has been absorbed, finish the professional treatment with an application of the moisturizing sun protection to protect the skin from harmful UV effects.

This professional treatment is supplemented with the daily application of stem cell growth factor.  Apply the cream twice a day on neck, face and neckline with a gentle circular massage until the product is completely absorbed.

What are human stem cells?

 

Human Stem Cells are defined as progenitor cells with the special ability of self-renew and also generate one or more differentiated cell types.

What is the difference between differentiated cells and stem cells?

 

Differentiated cells are the cells that perform the function in the different tissues to maintain the natural life span of the body. They cannot differentiate into another different type of cell. Human Stem Cells are cells that do not perform a direct function in the metabolism of the different tissues but they have the ability to evolve to differentiated cells. Therefore, Stem Cells have this special characteristic called pluripotency or totipotency depending on the kind of Stem Cells they are.

Where can we find adult stem cells in the human body?

 

The scientific literature has documented its existence in almost all tissues like bone marrow, skin, subcutaneous fat, heart and skeletal muscle, brain, retina, pancreas. They remain isolated and immature in their niche and they

Do plants also have stem cells?

 

Yes, although cells from plants and animals are somewhat different, plants also have a kind of Stem Cells. In fact, plant cells are totipotent, and under the right conditions, from any plant cell the whole plant can be regenerated or the plant part of interest. That is a big difference to animal cells, because in animals only the real Stem Cells have this ability. Plant Stem Cells are Totipotent, which means they are somatic cells that have retained their ability to divide and differentiate into a mature plant if placed in appropriate media.

How are plant stem cells obtained?

 

When a plant is wounded, a callus tissue is formed (wound healing tissue). This is a mass of dedifferentiated cells, that means totipotential. In the callus tissue the normal differentiated cells go back into a dedifferentiated form and become Stem Cells (not possible in humans). Then they can be cultivated in the laboratory under controlled conditions providing the nutrients the cells need to grow. Then, just playing with the concentration of plant hormones it is possible to generate the part of the plant of interest.
 
This is the basis of vegetal biotechnology.

This apple tree has been cultivated because of these good storage properties. There are still some Uttwiler Spätlauber trees left in certain areas in Switzerland. So because of this good storage properties and conservation of the apple tree fruit some scientific studies were conducted to analyze if these plant Stem Cells could have any special property or characteristic for skin aging.

How is this plant stem cell extract produced to be used in skin care?

 

Callus tissue is generated from the fruit of Uttwiler Spätlauber. Then these undifferentiated cells are grown in bioreactors in controlled and sterile conditions. The mass of undifferentiated cells are lysated to obtain all components and biological structures they contain and are encapsulated in liposomes to improve the penetration through the skin layer to maximize the quantity of active substance that arrives to the specific target, which are Adult Skin Stem Cells.

Which effects do plant stem cells have on human stem cells and the aging process? Is there any scientific study about this effect?

 

Yes, we have in vitro assays conducted in scientific research laboratories from Switzerland that show the benefits that this extract has on our skin Stem Cells and on the cells involved in the maintenance of skin structure, like fibroblasts.
 
These assays have shown that this Plant Stem Cell Extract can protect human Stem Cells under harmful stimuli. It can also reverse the signs of senescence of human fibroblasts by studying expression of genes related to the proliferation process. It has also shown properties in delaying the senescence of hair bulges isolated from human scalp.
 
So, all this information together demonstrate the ability of this Plant Stem Cell extract to prevent, protect and reverse senescence in the important cells of skin as Adult Stem Cells and fibroblast are.

Yes. A clinical trial was performed in 20 patients applying a formulation with 2% of plant Stem Cell extract two times a day for 4 weeks. What is the function of the growth factors used in the formulations?

 

These polypeptides have biological activity regulating the metabolic processes in the skin and hair growing by increasing cellular communication. Several in vivo studies carried out in human skin show that these polypeptides improve skin firmness and elasticity and increase the thickness and smoothness of the epidermis and dermis regeneration.

What is the function of the rest of the ingredients chosen to synergize the action of plan stem cells and growth factors?

 

Dexpanthenol: precursor of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5). It has a good moisturizing power and high capacity to set and store water; it is well absorbed through the skin.
